Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting Wash Plant Operators for our Fresh Processing Potato Plant.
Our Wash Plant Operators ensure all start up procedures are carried out correctly, this includes making sure there is adequate water in barrels to wash the produce, that all barrel doors are closed before start up, that barrel running is carried out efficiently using two-way radios to maintain communication with production at all times.
In addition, they will also ensure a high level of cleanliness within the Wash Plant, including ensuring there are no loose potatoes on the floor, using cleaning equipment to sweep up loose debris, as well as using power washers to wash down machinery.
This role also involves the use of handheld scanners for scanning labels, as well as any other duties as requested by Team Leader or Senior Management.
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
Dayshift: Monday – Friday 0830 – 1630 + every third Saturday 0830 to job finish (depending on customer orders)
Rate: 8.72 per hour
Backshift: Sunday 0900 – 1700, Monday – Thursday 1700 – 0100 + every 3rd Saturday 8.30 to job finish (depending on customer orders)
Rate: 8.72 per hour + 50p per hour shift allowance

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to learn, a team player, have an ability to pay attention to detail, and have a strong sense of good customer service. Previous experience working in a Wash Plant Environment/Industrial Cleaning/Using Handheld Scanners/Two-way Radios will add weight to your application, however full training will be given.
