Osprey, Rooster
The Fairlies rear cattle and also grow potatoes, wheat for livestock feeding, spring barley for malting, oilseed rape for vegetable oil production and spring oats for porridge. They are keen to encourage different varieties of wildlife on the farm, and have utilised areas of wetland as habitats for ducks as well as more uncommon birds. Some of their farmland lies on a historical site. Under guidance from Historic Scotland, cultivations on those areas are restricted in order to conserve the historic features underneath.
