From Ferryden Farm in Montrose, John, Sam and David Reid grow potatoes, winter wheat for distilling, spring barley for malting and oilseed rape for vegetable oil.
As part of their commitment to sustainable farming, they have created a duck pond and taken part in ‘Operation Bumblebee’, creating pollen-rich habitats to promote bird and insect life. In recent years they have also established a footpath to give public access on the farm.
