DIRTY FRIES

Cooking PotMETHOD

  1. Heat a deep-fat fryer to 170°C (340°F).

  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan)/400°F/gas 6.

  3. Fry the skinny fries for 8 minutes until golden and crisp, then drain on kitchen paper.

  4. Meanwhile, fry the bacon until crisp, then add the spring onions and peppers and cook for 3–4 minutes, adding the Cajun seasoning for the final 2 minutes.

  5. Spoon the fries onto a baking tray, scatter over the bacon and spicy vegetables, top with the cheese, then bake for 10 minutes until hot and bubbling.

  6. Serve and enjoy!

12 slices of streaky bacon
1 bunch of spring onions, sliced
2 red peppers, cored and sliced
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
400g Cheddar, grated
