Potato Perfection Competition

  1. Eligibility: This Promotion is only open to UK residents aged 18 years and over (Proof of age, identity and eligibility will be requested).
  2. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its agencies and companies associated with this promotion (Winning Moments, Haynes, Crossbasket Castle Hotel) are not eligible to enter.

  4. No purchase is necessary, but internet access is required.
  5. Entry opens at 17:00 UK time on Tuesday 1st October 2019 and closes at 23.59 UK time on Tuesday 29th October 2019.
  6. There is one prize and 10 runner up prizes. First prize consisting of: 1 x exclusive tour of Albert Bartlett Potato Factory, Airdrie for 2 people, 1 x overnight stay for 2 at Crossbasket Castle Hotel, East Kilbride including breakfast & dinner at The Albert & Michel Roux Jr Restaurant & 1 x Haynes Potato Manual. Runner Up prize (x10) consisting of 1 x Haynes Potato Manual.
  7. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
  8. Winners will have 12 months from winner notification to take the prize.
    • All dates are subject to availability.
    • Date Restrictions: the overnight stay including breakfast & dinner at Crossbasket Castle Hotel can only be redeemed against a Wednesday or Thursday night (subject to availability).
    • Dinner at The Albert & Michel Roux Jr Restaurant within Crossbasket Hotel will include Chefs Tasting Menu for 2 people including matched wines (valued at £110 per person).
    • Travel allowance up to the value of £200 will be provided to the winner upon confirmation of travel plans provided by the prize winner.
    • Travel from the hotel to the Albert Bartlett site and back will be arranged and fulfilled by the promoter.
    • Albert Bartlett Potato Factory conditions; flat shoes required, must be able to manage stairs (a limited tour can be offered to those who can’t manage stairs), jewelry and false nails not permitted.
    • If a booking is cancelled by the winner, no alternative will be issued and for the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided.
    • If for reasons out with the promoter’s control, the factory tour is not possible on the agreed date and time, the promoter will not be liable for any compensation.
    • For the avoidance of doubt, the prize does not include travel/transportation, accommodation, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, excess baggage, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the prize will be responsible for any such costs.
    • Insurance is not provided as part of the Prize. It will be the winner’s and their guest’s responsibility to take out at their own cost all relevant insurance (including but not limited to health and travel insurance, insurance for theft, loss and damage to property) which may be required or prudent to be taken.
    • A valid credit or debit card will be required to check in to the hotel and will be used to guarantee any incidentals such as in-room calls or services.
    • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or other alternative to the prizes are available in whole or in part. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute an alternative reward of equal or greater value.
  9. Winner Selection: All winners will be selected randomly from all entries received and notified by e-mail no later than Friday 8th November 2019.  Failure to respond to this notification by 17h00 on 22nd November 2019 means your prize will be forfeit and will be transferred to another winner selected at random.
  10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, nor for network failure or delay.
  11. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable to any prize winner for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss, or loss of profits), expense or damage that is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion, or with accepting or using any prizes.
  12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable unless otherwise stated and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. In the event for any reason that a prize winner does not take any element of their prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize, unless otherwise agreed. If due to unforeseen circumstances a prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.
  13. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries (this includes, without limitation, by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion).
  14. No automated, third party or bulk entries are permitted. Multiple entries in breach of this provision will result in those entries being disqualified. If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to suspect that such means are being used to circumvent this condition then it may require the entrant to prove that such means were not used. If the Promoter becomes aware of an entrant using means to circumvent this condition, then these entries will be disqualified.
  15. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, that entry will be discarded.
  16. In all aspects of this promotion, the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the promotion.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name and county of residence of the winner. As a condition of accepting the prize, winners may be required, at the Promoter’s request, to participate in any reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prizes, free of charge; and they consent to the Promoter using their names and images in promotional material, including that with third parties.
  18. The name and county of the winner may be obtained by sending an SAE to: Scotty Brand, 251 Stirling Road, Airdrie, North Lanarkshire ML6 7SP 10 working days after the closing date.
  19. Data Protection: Your personal details will be kept confidential at all times and in accordance with the Data Protection Acts. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the prize draw and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent.   20. This Promotion will be governed by the Laws of England and Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
