JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives at our potato processing site in Westwick, Norfolk.

Level 3 Production Operatives will work to high, demanding standards. They will be responsible for delivering performance through processes and machinery, ensuring safe and cost effective practices are adopted.  They will also share their specialist knowledge with others to continuously improve efficiencies.

PRODUCE PRODUCT TO THE REQUIRED STANDARDS OF QUALITY AND HYGIENE WHILE MAINTAINING LINE EFFICIENCY. THE PRODUCTION SPECIALIST WILL:

  • Be expert in the machinery and production line operation.
  • Validate the equipment & process, taking required action to close any performance gaps.
  • Document and monitor line performance carrying out any equipment or product tests required to validate the process and equipment.
  • Work in all areas of the production facility, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Define production standard settings in conjunction with Production Management, ensure production machinery is operated to standard settings and maintain and standardise documentation
  • Ensure teams skills are up to date, train individuals on line as required and liaise with relevant department to organise off line training. Coaching in the moment.
  • Holiday/absence cover for Team Leader.
  • Undertake qualification to be able to perform and validate tasks to support equipment performance and reliability.

Expected Start Date: Immediate.

Hours of work: Monday -Thursday 12 hour shifts for 46 hours per week.

Shift Pattern: Rotating pattern of 1 week of nightshifts and 1 week of day shifts.

SALARY

Up to £12 per hour.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

For this role we require the successful candidates to have:

  • Numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Good IT Skills excel, word and PowerPoint.
  • Food hygiene training to level 2.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Organisational ability, admin skills, and understanding of HACCP.
