The Stewarts’ farm is entirely in arable production and grows a significant amount of spring barley for malting. They also grow raspberries, which are machine harvested for the UK processing market. Areas of woodland and hedges are maintained on the farm to reduce wind erosion of the soil, encourage wildlife and provide an enjoyable place to walk. The wetland area of the farm has been allowed to naturalise and now supports a good range of insects and birds. The Stewarts are continuing to look at ways to improve crop production and maintain the countryside for future generations.
