Marabel, Osprey, Rooster, Vivaldi
James and George Fleming grow potatoes as well as a combination of spring barley for malting, winter wheat for livestock feeding, oil seed rape for vegetable oil production, grass, carrots and vining peas, and also rear cattle.
They have a deep interest in conserving and maintaining the environment in their area, and, for this reason, are part of several environmental programmes including The Royal Stewardship Scheme. These and other schemes have techniques which allow the Flemings to construct and maintain hedges, conservation ponds, beetle banks and buffer zones.
They are also fortunate to have a salmon fishing beat, which gives fishing enthusiasts the opportunity to experience this unique and tranquil activity in an enhanced and protected environment.
