Neil and his team up at Barnyards, alongside growing potatoes for us, he also grow spring wheat and barley for feeding pigs on a neighbours farm. Alongside this they also grow peas which fits into their crop rotation, very well.
He also has a couple of woodlands and over the last few years he has been replanting these to help encourage wildlife back into the area. He is also involved in environmental schemes that look after and protect the farms hedgerows, stone walls, ditches and water ways.
Alongside this busy lifestyle, they also find the spare time to curl and are members of Forfar Curling Club and Fotheringham Curling Club. In 2009, they managed to win the Yara Farmers Curling Championship, which was a great achievement.
